To the right is a map of all counties or county equivalents in the United States. This includes the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Click on one to see the Köppen climate classification for its seat. Some places don't have a seat, or they may be independent entities; in these cases, the climate for the largest community or the entity itself was used instead. Also, some counties have multiple seats; this was also taken into account.
